The Elections Committee is made up of a Chief Returning Officer and election assistant(s). Their role is to facilitate all elections to ensure a fair and transparent process. Comprised of members who are neither Officers nor candidates for office, the committee develops and administers election procedures and rules, conducts the election, resolves any disputes, certifies the election results, and announces the winners. Its primary objective is to ensure that the democratic process is conducted fairly and impartially, allowing all members of the union an equal opportunity to participate.
The committee is appointed by the executive board and is currently made up of Ronny Cruz (Returning Officer), with assistants Hillary Phillips and Frank DeCandia.
