The CUPE 3261 Full-time/Part-time and Casual bargaining committee have concluded negotiations and come to a tentative agreement.

  • 1.8% across-the-board (ATB) increase first year with 0.65% one-time-only adjustment, 2% ATB increase second year, 2% ATB increase third year
  • Increased coverage for benefits
  • Restoring four personal days
  • Improved language of job security
  • $15 minimum wage for casuals, with 1.8% one-time increase for rates above $15
  • Equal Pay for Equal work for casuals by May 1st, 2019

Ratification votes will be held on all three campuses next week:

  • UTSC – Tuesday, September 19th
    • Two Sessions: 11AM – 2:30PM & 9:30PM – 11PM at H-Wing 305
  • UTM – Wednesday, September 20th
    • Two Sessions: 11:30AM – 2PM & 10:30PM – 1AM – Location TBD
  • St. George – Thursday, September 21st
    • Two Sessions: 12PM – 1:30PM & 9:30PM – 11PM – Location TBD
